Malta forms part of an enchanting archipelago with a world of its own.

This consists of the islands of Malta, Gozo, Comino and Filfla, which lie in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea between Sicily and North Africa. It has numerous little bays and beaches, which are ideal for all kinds of water sports like diving, surfing, sailing, water skiing and paragliding. All foreigners have an easy access to all types of water sports centres found all over the islands. Rocky beaches are predominant in Malta however
Apart from the national language, which is the Maltese language, the majority of the Maltese people speak and understand English. It is easy to come in contact with the inhabitants through their charming and friendly attitude. Through its special geographical position and its sheltered harbours it was a special attraction to different nationalities: Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Normans, the Order of St John and the British. It is heavily protected by the Grand Harbour and bastions surrounding the old city Mdina and the Capital City of Valletta. All these cultures have left their traces behind them on the island and guarantee you a varied cultural vacation today. The Megalithic and Neolithic temples of the early history are unique.
